Having watched a few of these "monster swell" events forecast on Wetsand over the past couple of years, I have to say that nearly without exception they've gotten 'way, 'way smaller as the event actually arrived. So a week out, Wetsand is predicting 12-18-foot waves, but it ends up being something like 6-8 or 7-9. I'm not laying money one way or the other, but I'd guess there will be some kind of weather bump, just not quite as big as Wetsand is currently predicting.
