Ya know, my job is hellish. I haven't fixed that, but I will.
For some reason though, today my office was feeling like a cave... far more than usual.
It felt like it was raining outside.
So I'd go look and it was clear and sunny.
I'd go back in and it would feel like a cave.
Then I'd close everything on my desktop and just look at the background pic on the screen.
It's that image of Fisk Mill Cove you posted.
The sky is gray, the grass above the cliff is green, the shore just goes on and on with waves sending white spray over the rocks.
Then I look at my calendar. This month, it's a picture of the Lost Coast under the King Range.
It's spring there. An intensely green coastal farm is right next to the beach.
The mountains plunge into the sea. I can see the rocks of offshore reefs. I bet they are covered in big abs and full of fish.
I think about freediving the North Coast or being out at Talcott looking at the kelp beds that go on for miles in blue water.
