I assume that you dive for fun. I can pretty much guarantee that any diving attempted in 10-foot seas is NOT going to be fun. I'd guess that the fishing wasn't much fun either. In marginal conditions the chances for accidents are greatly enhanced - why take the chance? really, if you have to ask (unless you're getting paid, and even then...) you should already know the answer; pack it in, Go another (better) day.

Except on the bad days ;)
