Can anyone provide me with an update on the local Southern California dive conditions [Santa Monica Bay-to-South Orange County]? I live in Salt Lake City, and I am contemplating making a quick-trip (drive) down to Southern California for a quick fix of diving. It's just a little over 600 miles from SLC to LA, and approximately 10 hrs. There's also a Winter storm on its way into SLC, so before I commit the time, effort and $$$ to get down to sunny Southern Cal, I would really appreciate hearing from a few of you about the conditions (e.g. viz, swell size / direction, water temp, Etc.). If any of you are BUG divers, I would also REALLY appreciate hearing what kind of season it has been to-date, ... what kind of numbers / size divers have been seeing -- what kind of success bug divers have been having this season, Etc.

Please email me if you have any information that you can share, otherwise I'll end-up staying home and skiing at Alta the next few days.

Thanks.

- Mark
