Okay - that was totally selfish of me. My mind was on the safety of the diver- not the diver's buddy. Of course skipping a safety stop is worth the risk. My brain was just trying to get re-connected with the buddy at the surface to chew them out for losing me- I didn't consider an actual problem. Also, to lose the buddy and not find them in a minute would mean something could be up- It's like Ross-O says - it has to be discussed though so you're not alerting the boat of a missing diver or going back down to look while your buddy decided to do a safety stop on the way up- Then again getting to the top means you'd see the bubbles to begin a search right down to him. |
