I have one of these masks and absolutely love it. High volume? Maybe, but I'm not spearfishing. I just exhale through my nose when I need to fill a little air into it. Not a prob. Scratches? Yeah, it can scratch, but once I'm underwater, it's filled in, like the other guy mentioned, and I don't see them anymore. Purge valves? So that's going to scare away pro divers? Does anybody else really agree with that? I don't tend to use them much when I purge (I just tilt my head back) but I think they still drain some water out anyways, so it's fine with me. The two seems to work together, and perhaps it's needed. After all, if you had a higher-then-normal mask volume, you might require a slightly different approach to clearing it.
