The top 25 feet at Redondo Beach is Nestle's Quik. Below that it was a night dive even before sunset. We dropped into the Dendronotus frondosus zone and found hundreds as well as Hermissenda crassicornis and Flabellina iodinea. We didn't find many squid this time, but we found the largest octopus I've seen in SoCal. It was basketball size, sitting in the open with a tentacle missing.
We called the dive after an hour because the 57F water felt more like 37F.
