Jeff's noble sentiments notwithstanding, I'm a little disappointed by this trend.

I try to remove as much man-made material from the ocean when I dive because I want the next diver to have a better experience. I feel that these statues detract from the natural beauty of Marineland.

I wouldn't object to putting stuff at Vet's where it's a monotonous sand bottom and would provide habitat for more diverse wildlife, but Marineland is particularly beautiful in its own right.

Sorry for being the wet blanket ....
