Hello: I called the Luxfer Company and spoke with a rep who said as long as the 6531 passes the eddy inspection, the tank is considered very safe and you should fill it. I believe she told me the tank trade-in was not really due to the defective tanks. I think the actual number of Luxfers that have exploded is like 3 or 4, a very low number. Sport Chalet will not fill them, but other local dive stores osmetimes will. They will fill them in Monterey and in San Luis for me, so I still use mine. B.Xavier
