Hmm, don't think I'd want to be dropping anchor straight off the stairways. For one, the recreational depths along that slope look like they would fall inside of the minimum distance to shore from swimming beaches set by county law. And, in any event, anywhere along there I'd stand a good chance of bonking a submerged diver friend on the head. I was thinking more along the northern rim, say between the harbor entrance and the artificial reef. Is there any reason to think that squid only stick to the eastern slope?
