Kendall,

Yous should have several locations from which to retrieve this aircraft's Aerobureau No. From the photos, it appeared that the throttle plate on the port side of the cockpit was still in place - there will be an AB plate there. I couldn't see if the pilot's headrest was still extant, but if so there will be an AB plate mounted there as well - location varied between the different models - I believe the TBFs had it on the stbd. side. The firewall will have a plate as will a structural member under an inspection hatch on the port side below the horizontal stabilizer. As an alternative, an engine serial number may prove just as good in IDing the aircraft.

Good Luck.

Stay wet.
