An Australian recreational fisherman, Phillip Kerkhof, wrestled a 4-foot bronze whaler shark onto a jetty in Australia’s southern coast on 16 February. Kerkhof was fishing along the jetty in Louth Bay. After watching the shark chase his squid lures, and after "a fair few vodkas," Kerkhof decided to catch the shark by hand and wrestle the shark out of the water. He admitted the following day that the idea might not have been his best.
