It's funny you should mention this because another really good friend/dive buddy wanted to invite someone along, whom I never met before, on one of our trips. Although I didn't know the guy, I trusted my buddy's judgement and didn't think twice about the initation. Luckily we had to cancel the trip and, after reading this post, I'm glad we did. I'll certainly think twice before inviting any strangers aboard
