Well, not a good day to be at Buchanan's which is just a short way from OML. Scott, Margaret, and I took the Popeye Maru around the point on Sunday - flat, flat, flat. We, too, spotted a Mola mola on the surface, but it didn't stay to play. Conditions at Buchanans were not good, murky, dark, cold. At one point, I just turned my camera off and poked around the reef. I was set up for extreme macro and it was so dark the camera couldn't achieve autofocus even with the strobe's modeling lights on. We pulled anchor and went to the stern of the Avalon where it was much, much better for diving - lots more light and better visibility. Of course, Farnsworth would have been even better!
