There are some mini walls and a swim-through near the NW corner of the reef. I used to anchor inshore from the wall and dive Bird Rock so I wouldn't have to pull in so much anchor rode after the dive. There is also a nice deeper reef between the Bird Rock reef and Ship Rock.
