This would actually be a lot of fun.

When I read reviews in commercial publications, I am skeptical that there is not pressure to skew the results where there are advertisers involved. Perhaps not by the actual testers, but after the editing dept., and the marketing dept, and the product managers from the manufacturers... you get it.

Now that I think, I don't remember ever seeing this review:
"This SEAJUNK" BCD is so poorly made, it barely even resembles anything that could save your life. They cut corners at every possible opportunity while adding every possible accessory. It has 6 dump valves, 12 D rings, 3 built in knives, double chest straps, trippple crotch straps, quick releases on either end of every strap, octo hose clip for both left and right handed, mini pony pouch, power inflator with above and below sonic alert devices, built in thermometer/compass/key holder, magno slate option and a hydration pouch. But it has a 12 week warranty."

An unbiased diver dot net shoot out would be cool.
