On Saturday, there was lots of low growth of this plant like stuff all over the west end of Anacapa. It appeared more bright and yellow than my picture does justice to. What is it?

As a curiosity I found the first all white (not a speck of brown) sea cucumber I can recall seeing. It now resides in my aquarium.

Finally, another "curiosity". That is not just any Tom, Dick or Harry repairing the Moby Kate’s engine. The "Harry" working on the Moby Kate's engine s is a "living legend", stress on the word living. That is Harry Ingram who was knocked clear out of the water and over the back of a lunging great white at Caleta Melpomene Cove, Isla de Guadalupe in 1981 in the same area where Al Schneppershoff had been killed. If you don't know the story, look at the prologue in Carlos Eyles’ book, Last of the Blue Water Hunters or at the chapter “Spooked” in Eyles’ book Secret Seas.

And thanks to Elaine for getting the pictures so I could upload them. I hope they come through.
