Bill, hope all's well with you and yours.
I did my share of staring too, over shooting photos. The smoke and raining ash in Avalon had to be one of the most eerie things I've ever experienced. That and standing on the boardwalk at 2am, looking up at the fires, and listening to the dull roar and snapping/crackling of trees from miles away.

Just curious...where'd you shoot your footage? Did you get up to the fire line at all? You must have some really interesting, and tough to watch, stuff.
