Well, last year I did pretty well diving from the breakwater. I
did one dive with a surface swim out to the barge (it's a long
swim -- 35 minutes one way) and a second dive with a surface swim
to the Metridium Fields. Those do need some local knowledge to
find from the surface.

Monastery Beach requires significant local knowledge on how to get
in and out, and when not to dive it. Don't unless you have a local
escort.

Coral St. is another possibility IF the tide is up and the swells
are down. You could get in one dive there if you don't dally after
picking up your film.
