Water was around 51 degrees - lots of surge and current (sometimes both) except at South Cove Landing, which was relatively free of both. Water was quite cloudy - vis was maybe 20-30 ft. Lots of great critters though - a couple of humongous male sheephead, lots of nudies, kelp bass, lobsters and something I can only describe as a walking Tribble in the sand. I have no idea what it was, but I have photos. As soon as I get the slides processed and scanned, I'll post them and hopefully someone can tell me what the hell it was. Oh, and BTW, the Peace has a new cook. He's an actual honest-to-God professional chef. Lunch was make-it-yourself carne asada barritos with mole sauce and salad. Dessert was homemade brownies and strawberry shortcake with fresh strawberries macerated in balsamic vinegar and nutmeg. Yum!
