Each time I've dived Monastary it was a lake. I've seen some nasty pictures of inflatables and divers being thrown about there. The easiest exit is at the south end of the cove near the kelp, although the best diving is at the north end. I've only dived the breakwall once, and the vis was less than six inches. I hope to make it back there soon.
