I have neither, but did some research into them - the Sport has greater range and is not that much more expensive. Be aware that they are "line of sight", designed to get you frm point A (the receiver) to Point B (the transmitter). The following link has some good comparative info.

Also, since the Scout has a defined frequency, you could end up on the wrongs boat if someone else hung a transmitter from it.
