We always do the dives sold on the boats for the same reasons that seahunt stated. When we did a cruise that included Cayman, we did our own shore diving, but that is because one of our favorite dive sites is 100 yards from the cruise line drop off point. Anothe rbenefit of diving with the cruise people is that you will get to know the other divers on board. Makes for more pleasant times if you get to know more of your shipmates. Wayne
