Went out of Dana Point last night looking for squid. It was flat as a lake. The herd showed up at about 1am. The surface was pulsating with their color shifts. There were hundreds around us. Darting in and out. And swimming in huge formations below us. Once again, they were cannibalizing on the weak. We estimated the larger ones being around 30 lbs. Larger than the gang from two weeks ago. Unless, the really bulked up in that time.

As usual, these are captures from my HDV video. I need clearer water, or a larger wideangle lense.
