I avoid SportChalet booked charters because they fill them with OW classes which essentially requires the captains to go to boring, overdove sites. The students often are not versed in proper boat etiquette by their "instructors" - poorly or not tipping the crew, cluttering the deck, boisterous behavior, etc.

I appreciate the booking stability that the boats are losing, but in the long run, it will benefit them. Raise the prices - California dive boats are a HUGE bargain compared to other regions of the country.

As for SportChalet (or other shop) OW classes, let them pay market rates on open boats plus 15% for the crew tip.
