Bonaire Trip Report |
Posted by Rick Coleman on July 22, 2007 at 10:22:15: My wife and I just got back last Tuesday from a 2+ week trip to Bonaire. It was a fantastic trip despite the unexpected ending. We got in 13 days of diving and 31 total dives. The unexpected ending? On our last scheduled day of diving I had to make an unplanned trip to the local decompression chamber. We didn’t violate our tables and dove what I thought was a safe profile, but the 2-3 dives a day for 13 days played a role in increasing the risk of DSC. The good news, I was symptom free after my 5 hour treatment in the chamber and should make a 100% recovery and my future diving should not be impacted. The bad news – no diving for 6 weeks. I’m looking forward to getting back to California Diving as soon as my window is up, just in time for the nice fall conditions. We are working on our complete gallery of pictures currently, but here are a few shots from the trip: Goldentail Moray: Filefish: Blenny: Seahorse: Little sleeping puffer: Loggerhead Turtle: Susie Posing: Cleaning Goby on Brain Coral Frogfish: Squid, aka court jester Squid up close:
