I figure any diver would pay $5 for a round trip pass, $8 for
an 8 hr pass... especially after the use of carts are outlawed ;-).

Outside of the study, engineering and installation costs, it
wouldn't take much in maintenance, and less energy use per trip
compared to an elevator.

I started doing more research on this and found out the VERY
interesting story of one of the "other' funiculars in the LA
area that pre-dates Angel's Flight. It was used for delivering
people to alternative remote "recrestional" area as well.
