You can drive down to near the water at White Point. It's only about five miles from Marineland. Several people still launch kayaks from Marineland. The trail is bordered on either side by chain link fences. It's about six feet wide with a few turns, so an inflatable would be difficult, if not impossible. It's about a fifteen minute run from Redondo, but there are two reefs, Hawthorne and Buchanan's that are more prolific than Marineland.
Pt. Vicente Fishing Access (Cardiac Hill) is two coves west of Marineland. Kayaks can be launched from there. The trail is about the same length as the new Marineland trail, but steeper.
