Evil Jeff Shaw and I planned to dive Marineland before it got too hot this morning. By the time I was ready to don my drysuit I was drenched in sweat. I think we'll have to make more night dives.
We swam out to the Point in search of Ted's Pinnacle. We found the markers leading the way, but once we hit our target depth we couldn't find it. The vis was a poor ten feet at best. We headed uphill against a strong current. It seemed to take half an hour to go from sixty-five feet up to fifteen.
We found two rocks with large holes in them, so we couldn't resist the obligatory diver looking through shot.
I spotted several species of nudibranchs, Christmas Tree worms, blennies, octopus and a large scorpionfish.
We passed through two thermoclines but the bottom temperature was still a pleasant 60F.
