It was re-opened on July 1. The temporary parking lot is located at the corner of Nantaskat and Seacove Drives, just east of the old gate. Construction will be ongoing for the next 2 1/2 to 3 years, so the new trail may not be open every day. As of now, it is open on the weekends from 7:30 until around 5:00.
The new trail is 1/2 mile long. Several of the regulars have purchased wagons to haul gear to the water.
