Actually, though, even though you have something of a point, one reason I can see for dotting the i's is liability. "Members of the jury, my client surely wouldn't have run over these divers if this negligent Boston Whaler owner had been showing the proper lights ..."

But going back to my original point, I just wanted to know what the practice is among the local charter dive boats. Can you remember what you've seen them do (or not do)?
