You must be old (like I am) because the days of the old Vans shop in the valley selling skate boards next to cost are over. Valsurf, Anthem Boardshop, Zumiez, etc. are all mainstream and probably have higher profit margins on this gear than you realize. Either way, I am a proponent of the "small guy" as long as he isn't a total jerk.
