Brad clearly doesn't hate the harvested shark. He admires it as the magnificent specimen that it is, and I agree with him that it is a real shame to see its life ended hanging by the tail to be weighed. I have fished in the past because I enjoyed it - the whole experience of being outside on the ocean or beside a stream, not just the catching of the fish. But our ever increasing population which is at the root of many of our problems means that sport and commercial fishing activities are having negative impacts on the population of certain species. The decline in shark populations is well documented.

I'm sorry but I have to point out that since we're not discussing Levis here, it's the gene pool, not the jean pool. Also my waist is what my belt goes around, waste is what goes in my garbage can.
