Redondo Canyon/Vet's Park Pictures |
Posted by Rick Coleman on October 28, 2007 at 11:47:55: I dove Redondo canyon last night as a twilight dive, dropping down at about 5:45pm. The entry and exit were super easy - maybe one foot surf, if that. Vis was about 10 foot – not bad, not great. I got a couple of shots that I thought I would share, plus I’ve included some pics from some previous Redondo canyon dives as well. The canyon is a favorite photo dive as you never know what you might see… From last night, found this guy buried in the sand: Also from last night, this octopus embarrassed at being photographed turned bright red… A juvenile C-O Sole from last night: This crab was playing peek-a-boo with his claw : Juvenile Halibut? – another shot from last night:
There’s love in the air…: Canyon Anemone: Canyon Hermet Crab I need a bath: Can see some sharp teeth on this little guy:
Another canyon octopus: Speckled with tourquoise: California Halibut: Canyon Nudibranch - Diaulula sandiegensis Fireworks: The old octopus that lived in a shoe: Another canyon anemone: Octo in a can: Got me over a barrel: Tempura anyone?: More tempura please: Toothy Grin: The sarcastic fringehead is one of my favorite critters in the canyon and they can be found on a regular basis. Here’s a few fringehead shots: What are you looking at?:
Another one: The old fringehead that lived in a shoe: The same shoe: This one was found out in the open in the shallows: A younger one: Fringehead Bouquet: Mug Shot: Looks like this one has some battle scars: Thanks for stopping by!
