I lost my computer many months ago during a kayak dive gone bad.
Long story short, I never replaced it and probably never will.

Computers will never go away and the agencies will rely on them more and more to shorten their classes so they can shuffle more people through, especially in resort settings.

I'll bet at some point PADI will offer a "Advanced dive tables and NDL theory class" and will have something else they can charge people for just like peak buoyancy and other classes that should be in open water before anybody is allowed to pass.
