I shot these guys with my video a few weeks back under the pier. There was a small school of them. I don’t ever recall seeing them before. I thought they were just some sort of juvenile perch. Once I got around to putting the video into my computer, I asked my resident marine biologist, Ms. Linda, what they were. She had no idea. She asked at her work. They had no idea. “Maybe something that blew up from warmer waters!!” A bunch of them must have blown up.

Now my curiosity is peaked. What are they? The pix with two; one seems to be developing a bar. The single pix; it is about the same size as the other two, but with a distinctive bar.

I hope I got the pix formating right!!
