Book Review |
Posted by Jeff Shaw on December 06, 2007 at 19:30:36: Not a lot of diving right now, so here is a book review. More than nine lives I just got done reading "Blue Water Gold Rush" by Tom Kendrick and thought there would be no good follow up to it. Wrong! I admit that when I first started it, this book bored me. My wife bought the book for me at the 2003 Scuba show. I got around 70 pages into it and put it down. After reading Toms book I pined for more. So I went back to nine lives. Diving starts on page 117 and does not stop till page 704. Yup that's right 704! This is a charming biography of a fellow who had some of the wildest experiences under water. The number of fascinating salvages and wild rides is truly amazing. Every chapter is a new WOW! The funny thing is that we have all seen Al Hansen. He was the Kirk Douglas stand in in 2000 Leagues under the sea. A must read for waterheads. -Jeff
