There definitely is some overlap in the location codes. These codes were originally developed for a fin fish survey and don't always work well when applied to lobster fishing. I worked for Fish & Game this season collecting data for the survey they did on the recreational lobster take, and we used these same codes in our reports. Location 59 is only used for hoopnetters fishing from the Redondo Pier. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, maybe I can answer them.
