Joan -

On a NOAA survey during the last week of October, we spent several dives (primarily on the east side)of Gull Island. The vis was in the 50+ range, the kelp was dense and healthy, the local sea lions welcomed us with great numbers and enthusiasm. Perhaps the only slight drawback for some folks was the water temperature - 52-54 degrees.

It was beautiful diving.
