Any camera suggestions

I hear that my Olympus C-60 camera didn't survive a trip to DC.
Anyone have any suggestions for a simple camera? I have sort of thought that Canon has better lenses than Olympus, but I am
open.
I want:
at least 6 Mega Pixel
at least 3X optical zoom
Quicktime would be nice
White balance adjustable for underwater.
I really like that my Oly can be used to take the panorama pictures.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
