After the five feet of vis yesterday I was hoping for at least ten at Marineland. We were quite surprised to see more than twenty feet throughout the dive. After the long surface swim, Bob, Joe, Dennis and I dropped too far offshore and found lots of sand. Eventually Bob and I made it to Ted's Pinnacle. Poor Angelique never made it past the entry after breaking a fin strap. I felt bad for her walking up the hill without getting in a dive. Really, I did.
During our swim out a large baitball made its way near me, close enough to see dolphins, sea lions and birds having a feeding frenzy. I didn't see them under water, but it is still cool to witness.
There was no surf to speak of, 20-25' visibility and 57F water. I'll be back for more tomorrow.
