Jim, the conditions you describe apparently were not unusual for the bay this weekend. First dive on 1-13 I found 4-inch visibility at 98 feet (with a very good light) and decided that I wasn't having fun. Second through fourth dives were slightly better - though less than what you described. A very dim, murky 6-foot visibility was about the best for that day, and that was intermittent (but it was appreciated after experiencing the conditions of the first jump). We were diving the artificials and natural reefs in the Malibu area. Topside was spectacular – warm, glassy with long duration swell and not too many dingbats at the launch ramp.
