Come to the LA County Board of Sups hearing on Jan 22nd . On Tuesday, January 22nd at 1pm the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote on whether or not to require a reduction in our 6 billion plastic bags a year addiction. County staff is proposing to aggressively tackle the problem by enacting a ban on plastic single-use bags, if certain reduction targets are not met. While this falls short of the ideal policy decision (an outright ban) it is a positive step to addressing the enormous problem of plastic bags in our environment.

We need to fill the hall with supporters of aggressive action on plastic bags and those of you who can attest to the problems bags create for divers and boaters, etc. See the attached flyer for more details, or our website www.healthebay.org/PPI .
