Towards the south side of the penninsula towards San Diego are very open areas that have fantastic diving at 90 to 110 feet
... and as deep as you want to go. You have to really watch your air and the ascent must be done with no mistakes. At the time
I had switched to a HP tank and the dynamics are different. If you want any bottom time at all you have to push it. I was
hunting which made things worse. There are lots of large red abs and lots of nice fish out there. I used to go in my inflatable.
It is a wild place not for mistakes.
