I was kinda wondering myself about that breath hold ascent.
As Instructor stated, the pressure change in 15 feet is the most extreme. This is one reason why safety stops are made at 15 feet. I have a hard time understanding what lucky card you got not the suffer air embolism on the way up, having taken your last breath from a compressed air tank.
