Shaw's is my favorite as far as amount of life. Deadman's Reef is also nice. Diver's Cove is easy and the swim to the reef between Diver's and Boat Canyon is pretty easy. Picnic beach has a paved path with a shower at the bottom of the hill, or at least it did. I haven't been there since construction began. All of the smaller coves to the south are great. The reef at Moss Street comes right up to shore. South of town is 1,000 Steps. There is an arch big enough to swim through on the north side of the beach, but getting up and down the stairs might make you decide to go back to Shaw's. :)
