Just got back from Laguna Beach/Shaws. The swell models didn't look good for Palos Verdes, so I took the safe route. Beautiful day. Slighty surgy in the cove, and pretty strong as you get out to the point. Vis was 5' at best near shore and the bulk of the students. 10-15' in spot a litte further out. A good indication of what the surf might be like further North....1-2' shore breakers with an occasional 4-5' set no and then. Just ask my buddy. After our first attempted entry he needed a little side trip to Laguna Sports to buy a new mask and snorkel....just 20 seconds after I warned him for the second time to put his mask around his neck. LOL I guess it goes to show you that the easiest beach entry can actually be a challenge.
