Redondo Canyon can be spectacular when the vis is nice and you drop over the edge of the canyon rim and head down. I think this site stands out because it can also be an absolutely dead dive during the day with the trash and flat sand. But at night, you can see that all the junk holds an amazing amount of life, and great Macro subjects. Laguna beach, Deadmans reef can also be a great night dive. With large walls and a huge area to cover, far more vertical structure than the surrounding areas. Also, find a shallow reef with good vis, full moon, and try turning off your light. Give it a minute for your eyes to adjust, but you will be surprised at how much you can see. The full moon rays dancing on the bottom can be spectacular
