On Thursday evening March 6, 2008 my friend Jerry Wilson and I drove to San Diego to board the I limited on lobster on Friday after three dives at Cortes Bank. On Saturday I pulled four in the two dives that morning. My biggest was about 3 lbs. The average was about 2 lbs.
I did not make the night dives at SBI because I was not feeling well that night. However some of those who did got some very nice bugs. A couple of the bugs were close to 6 lbs.
On Sunday I took pictures on the first two dives at Clemente. On the third dive I unsuccessfully went exploring out in the sand looking for isolated rock piles.
It was a very nice trip. The Horizon was very well maintained. The crew was friendly and helpful. Captain Chris is very knowledgeable and both he and the DMs were very professional.
Here are some of the pictures I took during the briefing, on the way home, and underwater at San Clemente Island.
