Quick report from catalina sat 3/22 and santa barbara tues-wed |
Posted by Roger on March 22, 2008 at 20:53:02: Dove Catalina frontside today with the sea divers on the Magician. Conditions were great, sunny, flat, and warm. We saw a lot of water skiers during the crossing. Dove lil farnsworth, long point, lil gibralter, and the plane wreck, or something like that. At all sites, water was warm, mid 50's. Shallow water was green and low vis, less than 50 feet, but deeper it opened up. Should be good sunday, too. Last week for the lobster closer we did santa barbara island on the peace. Conditions were great, even just after that big wind. Bit of a swell, but not bad, and great vis. Photos someday, probably when I'm in the retirement home and have time.
